How to explore the world...!?

Life is full of surprises and serendipity. Being open to unexpected turns in the road is an important part of success. If you try to plan every step, you may miss those wonderful twists and turns. Just find your next adventure- do it well, enjoy it-and then, not now, think about what comes next.
- Condoleeza Rice--

I'm so lucky to have wonderful friends. And I can't say that I'm sad. Why should I?
The world offers way too much. Still I have friends who do the same every week, every month and every year. Work all week long and stay at home or around the area on weekends. I keep on asking myself, why don't they enjoy themselves more?

Try out something new, experience the area around you, there's still so much to see!

Goal:
Explore the world, day by day and never give up dreaming <3!

Appreciate the small things.

Cultural differences are hard to cope with. Especially when you used to live in a completely different country / world for half a year and then come back and find yourself in your old / new surrounding. Old because those people are your beloved ones, your friends and you missed them a lot. They are new though, because you sometimes don't understand anymore their way of talking, their way of behaving and you ask yourself 'Why are WE like that?'

Of course I miss a lot about Mozambique and I would say part of my heart is Mozambican. And as my friends from there always said: "In her heart she's black." It's not about their color, it's more about their attitude and behavior.

Well, I'm happy about my life here. I'm grateful for a hot shower, for food in the fridge, for friends who love me and who care about me, for family, for nature and for the easiness that the western world brings with.

Maybe we should all think more about what we have rather than about we don't have. Cause I can tell you we have such a diversity wherever we go whatever we want to buy....

<3 We live the good life and we should appreciate it much, much more!

There are no rules unless we make them.

We might live our life according to certain rules. The people who probably made up most of the rules we live were and still are our parents or our teachers, our friends or our boss or just any other people we randomly met. And most likely they were right. But at a certain point we have to ask ourselves: 'Do I really believe in these rules?' and more importantly, 'Are these rules leading me to a happier life?'

The more I travel, the more I mix up all these different rules from all different cultures into one pot. And I hope, one day, I can hand over this huge pot to my children. Teaching them that every culture works differently and that we need to be flexible and open-minded.

And I realized that in the end, everything is up to me. I am the one who decides about the rules. And the most important thing in life for me is to be happy. Each day.
